Shopping is confusing @.@

Friday 31 August 2007

Ah, I went into university today to meet A again. Well the whole reason I went into uni today was just to help a different friend with some questions she wants me to answer. But the weird thing about that is that I don't know aught! I'm same year as her so I wouldn't know zilch.

But before I went into uni, I went to House of Fraser to try and buy something for my aunt as she wanted to get the free goodie bag of Dior if buy 2 items of Dior. But when I went inside House of Fraser, I couldn't find the Dior section D: They should put a sign up on where certain product is, as it can be totally confusing for a person like me who doesn't know where stuff are. So I went to uni and decided to go after met up with A and a friend.

Oh, so just went on facebook as usual, just facebooking friends back... and spying on certain people lol! I had to wait for ages before that friend came and only talked for like 10minutes.. so I waited so long just to talk for 10minutes ¬_¬? But before starting to give her my suggestion of what to do, we had to like ask the obvious question: "How you been".

So she goes to me: "how you been?". After I answered, I go to her:"How you been? How's the kid? etc". After she answered, she goes to me:"How you been?". Wah?!? Stupid, you already asked me or unless you didn't hear me before?!??

So after telling her what I thought about what she could do, I met up with my older cousin in the other building of the university. As she was going to go to my home to see how the Boots hair straighten kit works on my hair... so I'm the guinea pig of this product ¬_¬. I'm thinking why don't she buy one and try it on her hair instead, selfish *****.

So before we went to my house, my cousin had to go to the Post Office to pay some bills. But in this Post Office in town, there are counters both side of the room with the numbers on them. So whilst I was just waiting for my cousin pay for the bills in the queue, I saw this person who wasn't queuing but just jumping behind someone who had just finished whatever they were doing with the worker (don't think something nasty! ¬_¬!). So what's the point of the queue if people just cheat the system by pushing in front?!??

1.

2.

That person who cheated the system wasn't even old old person who couldn't walk or had much to carry. Just some person who knew there was a queue but decided to cheat the damn system!

That's what I hate about people, they cheat the system and not think about others. I sometimes think about others if I remember, like on the bus to town I saw this mother with 12year kid. The kid sat next to me whilst the mother stood up, so I thought it would be better if I moved. So left the place for the mother to sit on instead and I moved upstairs. I'm no meany arse like that flipping cheating the system, the queue jumper didn't even seem like she was in a rush too. She just slowly looked around and saw there was a queue and ignored it!

Afterwards, me and my cousin arrived home, decided to try the Boots Hair Straighten kit on some part of my hair to see if it would damage my hair first. So after doing it, which took less than 2hours. The result looked urm.. a tad straight but I wouldn't do it to my hair since I have to keep my hair down for a week and have to go to university next week to get my result for the resits I did.

If the product doesn't damage my bunch of chopped hairs, I will do it to my whole head of hairs next Saturday.

3 days straight

Ah, I haven't had chance to update this blog since I had to go to work for 3days straight! So dull, nothing much happened whilst I was there. It wasn't even busy at all, so quiet I kept trying to find things to clean that's how bored I was.

But gladly enough A rang a few times during those 3days during work time. There was like no customers for over 3hours D:
Gesh, great business but like my mum said it's probably because it's just been bank holiday monday and the fact that people didn't know for definite if we were back or not.

But last day which was today ... but in a way yesterday since today is friday; anyway, I burnt my fingers only abit at the side but still stang alot. I dunno how it happened though, I was like putting chips in the fryer then oil just overspilled and I think I put my hand so low so the oil would touch my fingers D: For the rest of that night, I was like in pain but didn't want others to be worried about some burn so I hid the pain. The worst is when you are using hot/warm water over the burnt part, it stings like there's hundreds of pins coming at you every second.

But now I do not ever have to work at my parent's shop since the worker who also went to HK/China came back today and works tomorrow onwards. Wohoo! Ah, off to bed going to uni later today lol!

Bank Holiday Monday

Monday 27 August 2007

We had to look after the kids today since it's Bank Holiday Monday and so my aunt and uncle have to work.

So they didn't do much today, just stayed at our home drawing and playing in the garden with one of those space hoppers but a Tigger picture instead. My parents went out to get ready to work tomorrow, whilst they were out; they bought something for my brother. My brother was like shocked but probably in his mind thinking sweet lord that's nice. It is a 4gb Ipod Nano. But I was thinking why would he even need his own when he wouldn't even use it at all, especially when he's at 6th form next year since the kids there aint all that great. Even though he goes to a private grammar school =S

Mum and dad got the rest of their luggage today, my mum was like "OMG!!! We didn't even use a lock on the luggage, hopefully the watches aren't stolen as Em bought them!!!". ^-^"? (Em is my cousin who lives all the way in HK and older than all the cousins in UK ^_^").

My brother got Black G-Shock watch, whilst the girls got Casio Baby-G each. The type is: BG-169A. I chose the Black watch first, my sister chose blue because I told her to lol! So my other older cousins gets to choose Green or Red-ish one between them ^_^"

Pretty difficult to set up if you don't have the manual book, but on the website there is a page where you can lookup a manual for certain watches by just typing in the code of the watch.

They are back!!!

Saturday 25 August 2007

My parents came back about 11ish in the morning :) I thought they wouldn't be back until tomorrow but I guess not lol! Man, the stuff they brought back smells very "China-ery". It's not a bad smell, it's just a weird smell compared to British smell lol!

I knew I was going to get some sort of MP3 since I asked my parents to get me one, as I am totally bored of listening to nothing whilst going to uni on the bus and walking. But when I saw what my parents got me, I didn't think it would be this at all. It is an Ipod Nano with 2gb of space. It costed £80 or so after converting the currency of HK. Isn't it prettie!!! Eeeeeeee!!!

My cousin in China gave me this necklace, which looks like an Egg with Wings O.o?

I didn't really do much when my parents got back, my aunt didn't have a driver for tonight for some reason, so my mum had to go there straight away and take orders for them and she just came back as well D: boo. But the oddist thing that my aunt said to her, when she was sorta dosy at the shop:
"What's wrong with you?" ... Urm, hello? They just arrived home and haven't had a time to sleep off jetlag yet?

So the aunt/uncle came one last time since parents are at home (at least one of them is anyway). They made dumplings, me nor my brother knew it was dinnertime. So after they were about to leave that's when I realised that they had already eaten. But I'm not complaining, it's awkward to go near her at the moment especially since what had happened yesterday :O
But after they left, just started reading Questionable Content. Pretty funny but more of the Emo type of talk on bands.. so I just skip the bits where they talk about all these different bands, lol! But just love the way they draw the comics, simple yet nice tones of colours used.

Oh how embarrassing DX

Friday 24 August 2007

Today, I just stayed at home since aunt/uncle was going to come over to make food. Aunt/uncle, the kids and my sister went out about 1.30ish to drive my sister to the hospital to check her stomach on her own, whilst the rest went to a Park. However, aunt told me that the youngest cousin kept crying for some reason, saying she wants my sister or something.

MY sister didn't come home with aunt/uncle with the kids, she decided to meet her ex-boyfriend at work. Okay, yea isn't all that weird but it is weird how she would rather make me look after the kids than herself.. since she is getting paid for it too.

So I rang my sister to see what time is she coming back, whilst I was on the phone... aunt picked up and I didn't know, I was like:
"when you coming home? *whispering: aunt/uncle is here (in a moaning tone)*..." Then suddenly I heard a very loud cough! F***! Crap! She overheard my conversation complaining about her! Oh I couldn't go downstairs now to help her make food that would just make things more sticky. So I kept asking my brother to check on her to ask her if she needed any help.

She was making Chicken Wings again. I felt abit iffy about eating it again without any greens =S So we had to wait for my sister to come back to this area so the uncle can go and pick her up. She took forever to take the train back, the kids were getting very impatient and wanting food already. So the kids did eat first, whilst the rest waited for her.

Aunt/uncle left soon after eating, they were probably sick of us and the kids. This time, the kids did not stay for an all nighter as I didn't want to look after them in the morning.. as I need my beauty sleep. :3

Congrats to my brother

Thursday 23 August 2007

Today, my brother went to school to get his GCSE results on his own. This is what my brother got:
7 A*, 2A , B. Gesh, you got that right, he's a nerd!!! He got in the top 5 marks in Design Technology course in the whole people doing it in AQA Examboard in 2007.

But the weird thing was, when we told my aunt what my brother got, she goes to me:
"What did you get?".
I replied: "Mainly Bs and Cs".
She goes: "Aww, you should have tried better".
What the flipping eck?!?? I am bloody pleased with my results, thank you very much! Anyway, that was a while back, so why should I flipping care so much about it?!?? It's not like I didn't try my best, I always try my best in exams otherwise what's the point of me having education. It's like when she asked me how I thought about my exams I did this summer for 1st year of university,
I go: "I dunno, aint sure if I passed or not".
She replied: "Aww, you should be trying your best and be confident in it".

What the eck?!? I do flipping try my best! And if I be over-confident about what I thought about the exam I did, that would just be bigheaded and what would I feel if I did fail if I over did my confident? Yes, I would be totally embarrassed!
Anyway, back with my brother with his grades, I thought I should buy him something to say congrats to his grades, but he said he didn't need anything at the moment since he got his games and his brand new computer.

So I went into uni (again? I know!) to sort out with A, our electives for next year. I finally chose my elective modules which is all computing for some reason.. but nothing to do with programming mwahahaaa!!! A had one more module to choose but don't know what to choose... eep.

Don't ever attempt to carry 2 medium size pints of milks, 3 fruit juice and bread by yourself!!! Man, my back was killing me after carrying that from Tesco's. Milks and bread was in my backpack and carrying the rest by hand, Argh! Heavy!!!

Tonight, my sister made fresh chips for my brother for his grades. She tried three styles of making chips, one by oven, fried oil and fried with tad of oil chips. I would have tried the one by oven but my sister put way too much pepper on them, so I couldn't really taste the quality of chips but more of the spiciness of the chips D:

CONGRATS TO MY BROTHER ON HIS BLOODY HIGH GRADES!!!!

Long day ...

Wednesday 22 August 2007

I went to town today to see A with her sister. Okay, at first didn't know when A would get into town so decided to buy myself something for my hair from boots. I went to the closest one from my bus stop however didn't have the product that I wanted which was made by Boots too. So went exploring around town to find the other one... as I do remember there was 2Boots store in town. So I found the product, Straighten hair product made by Boots. As my hair is becoming frizzy lately... as I think the Thermal Reconditioning done to my hair last year is wearing off. As my hair is sorta less straight now.

So eventually found A and her sister, and we went wandering through each store to see if she can find clothes, bag, and usb stick to buy for school soon. Man, it was some long arse walk but didn't mind since I was just there to hang out with them.

After all that walking, A's sister did buy one thing.. a jotter paperpad for school, lol!!! So we split up after a long day of walking and buy one tiny thing. Didn't do much when I went back home.. so dullified.

Life from the Past

Monday 20 August 2007

Today, my aunt and co, aunt/uncle, grandparents, my sister and brother went to Xscape for the day. Whilst I decided not to go but relax at home and finish watching tv show, dead like me. Too bad, Dead Like Me only had two seasons :( The ending was all that great either, seems unfinished. Or perhaps it's because I want watch more of that show XD

During that marathon of Dead Like Me show, all I ate was skittles, skittles and an ice-cream mwahahaaa!!! But I did feel an urge for water though after eating all that.

I was told that I was going to eat at my grandparents' shop with the bunch of relatives and friends. It has been so ever so long since I went to my grandparents shop, the last time I remember going there was when I was like still in primary school and now I'm at university.

It feels like I was going into the past but me being all grown up. When I got there, I saw something that I thought I would never see ever again, there was 2 bottle; one of Salt and the other of Vinegar for the customers to use on their meals. Me and my sister use to use our fingers and wipe it against the lids of bottles and lick them, gross I know but we were very young at that time.

Well we ate there which is very nice indeed, but still alot of leftovers. I went to check out the upstairs of the shop and boi, it looks smaller now. As me, my sister and brother use to stay up there whilst my parents worked with my grandparents.

I hope I will have the chance to see my grandparents' home in the future soon, as it's not far from their shop, and that's where my family lived for a while. I did go there like in 2001 as my aunt was living there for a while too, that's where the beginning of my aunt's wedding took place. But haven't been back there ever since.

Peaceful sleep

Sunday 19 August 2007

Ah, no noise during the night from the youngest cousin, but I do feel sorry for my sister since she did sleep on the floor and the fact that she did have to wake up when the yougnest cousin started to cry. But then again, she said to my aunt that she didn't mind looking after the kids as they stayed overnight. Or was it because she was just being polite?

Anyway, kids slept until 8.00am ... well it's much better than 7.30 ¬_¬
Same chaos with the youngest cousin and her teeth, but this time was much better as I bribed my cousin by saying "if you want to eat cereal that you like, you have to let me finish brushing your teeth". And just like that she allowed me to brush her lower teeth, but the upper teeth... T_T More crying.

I didn't do much this morning, as I just allowed the oldest of the 2 younger cousins to watch the Bratz movie; wohoo! Minus one child to look after.

Wow, I'm surprised that my brother helped me make the kids food to eat; okay, even if it's just leftovers it's still food.

My aunt came to see the kids, I first I thought the youngest cousin would be crying her eyes out when her mum left but this time, nothing. No tears, no nothing. Does that mean she's growing up, and understanding that when her mum has to go to work, she has to go no matter how much she cries? But I was just totally surprised with that.

My 2 older cousins decided to come over to make some supposely "delicious" cakes/cookies. When the oldest of the 2 older cousin came to the kitchen to say hi to me, the youngest through a shoe at her :O What a naughty child. So I was suggesting out loud:
"We should put her in a naughty corner!!!" and 2nd oldest cousin there agreed and said this:
"SuperNanny!!!!". Yup yup, got the idea from that show ^_^
So 2nd oldest cousin there decided on a place of where the naughty place should be, and placed the youngest on it, saying you think about what you did. I felt so bad, but then again she shouldn't be so naughty and throw a shoe at anyone, so impolite. So she stayed there for abit, then victim of the attack of the shoe went to her and the youngest said "Sorry". Aww, at least now she knows if she misbehaves she will be sent to the naughty place.

We then made cookies/buns and my aunt came with some food for us to eat, dim sum mmm. But we were busy trying to produce fresh lovely cookies and buns ^_^

Urm, the cookies didn't come out that tasty... it tasted like salty cookies D: I told my cousin that you aren't suppose to have like tablespoon full of salt or more, but she said she is just following the recipe. T3T Rather listen to a recipe found on the internet than me.

The buns didn't come out too great either, they tasted urm... way too tough for any teeth to handle.

Anyway, after the 2 oldest cousins went, we decided to eat later as the kids had just ate the bun collection from my aunt. The youngest was following me, she kept wanting me to pic her up so I asked her:
"Are you tired?".
She goes: "Yes".
Hmm, I think it's just because she's got nothing to do, so I said okay, i'll pick you up whilst I sit on the sofa. I thought she's was just bored, as she usually never sleeps when I pick her. But this time, whilst I was texting my friend, my sister told me that the youngest had fell asleep on me. Aww, must be bored out of her mind.

When it was time to wake up from her nap, gesh, that took a while, she wouldn't even eat afterwards like she did yesterday :S So after everyone apart from the youngest kid finished eating. The older cousin decided to go watch Land Before Time IV (I think). The youngest kept getting in the way of her sister whilst she was watching tv on purpose, so I told her off 3times to get out of the way of her sister watching tv. But no luck, so I had to use the "word" to her to behave; the word is "Naughty place" XD. After I used that word, she was so scared of that word she behaved. She finished eating her dinner too whilst I fed her whilst watching the film.

But it was long before they both got bored of Land Before Time because there was a break lol! They decided to go play with that 3D glue thing. Man, that was messy but I'm glad that they had a bath after playing and not before that messy situation.

Sleepover

Saturday 18 August 2007

Argh! Didn't get much sleep last night, as the youngest kept crying about 3am for over half an hour which felt like 5hours. My brother decided to go downstairs to sleep instead because of that noise at that time. I had to suffer upstairs with the noise.

Well after having abit more sleep, my sister was getting ready to go to work; cleaning a factory. My many wanted sleep was disturbed as the youngest was crying and I heard my name being called by one of the kids in the room across T3T poo.
It was just 7.30 as well!??! What!!? Kids need more sleep and so do I.

Me and the kids just stayed in their rooms until they wanted to get dressed and eat. I'm so pleased with the oldest; how she handled with me brushing her teeth; as I have to brush both of their teeths as they don't brush properly and the oldest has some decay in her teeth already. Whilst I was brushing the youngest's teeth, boi, it was like brushing teeth was a torture or something. She kept crying and struggling around whilst I was brushing her teeth.

Ah, the torment of me looking after kids has just begun today. We decided that they would make stuff, so that's what they did for a couple of hours. Well mainly the oldest did, whilst the youngest kept walking around getting bored with it.

So 1.30ish, aunt/uncle came and so did my aunt, to bring some swimming kits for the kids and more clothes as my sister didn't pack enough clothes for their sleepover at our home. As the kids are going to go to the swimming pool with my sister and the aunt/uncle. Whilst I can rest for abit before the kids come back and I will have to look after them T_T

Whilst they were out, I was just lounging around and updating this blog with the missing days that I missed because of exams ^_^"

After eating dinner with the aunt/uncle they left, so kids slept early with my sister sleeping at the same time as them; my sister slept on the floor of where the kids were sleeping, incase the youngest decided to go crying mode again in the middle of the night. The kids and my sister slept so earlier, well too early for my sister; it was at 9.30 after the bedtime story. *o*

Kids with seniors

Friday 17 August 2007

After my exams, I came back to just relax away from exams. However it wasn't long until my younger cousins came with my sister and the uncle&aunt who is going to make food for us.

We ate at like 5ish, yea dead early but good in a way as the kids would be able to sleep earlier lol! Even though we don't really want them here because it's seems like we are kiddies, we had some buck nice foods: Fried Chicken Wings!!! They taste delicious with Salad Cream. Also ate some other stuff but main food was chicken wings lol!

A weird thing happened after eating, my sister and I was washing up the stuff whilst the aunt&uncle was sitting on the sofa with the kids. After a while in washing up, the kids were sorta crawling all over the aunt&uncle (and they are pretty old too so that's why it's weird). The kids kept jumping on the aunt&uncle's back and such. Such a hilarious view that was.

The aunt&uncle eventually went home, whilst the kids stayed overnight. I get to sleep on the master kingsize bed of my parents (after getting new cleaner sheets ^_^).

Economics Exam

Last exam wohoo!

This exam was very unsure for me, I don't think I will be staying at the same university next year :( The good thing about staying at the university I am in now, is that I don't have to pay for accomodation since I am staying at home... but what if I fail this year ... D: Wah!

This exam was based on MicroEconomics and MacroEconomics, each part worth 33marks. So there were 66marks all together. The exam was all multiple choice questions.

I don't know how I feel about this exam :( All I know is that I guessed some of the questions.

After the exam of 3hours, when we were all just waiting for our exam sheets to be collected, I looked at the front person's multiple choice sheet and I could see that some of the answers are similar to mine at the beginning so perhaps I can at least get 5marks correct wohoo! Lol! I am no cheat, as the exam had finished and so I can't write on my sheet no more :P

Programming Exam

Thursday 16 August 2007

Second exam of the three exams.

This exam was too hard and not enough time to do it all D: But I think I did much better this time, in the coding than my first attempt. However, I'm unsure about the written part of the exam, as it was too wordy and took too much time than I expected.

The exam had 2 questions: 50marks Written and 50marks Coding. The exam was 4hours (it didn't feel like 4hours, more like 1 hour); however my belly was grumbling for food in during the last hour T3T.

The written part had about 14questions, questions getting harder by each part like all exams are.

The coding part was based on Carpet sales, there was 3 files that we had to do: Carpets, Dimensions and CarpetSales. All the coding was done in Drjava.

2 down, 1 to go.

Database Exam

Wednesday 15 August 2007

Ah, my first exam went quite crap. Didn't know aught about certain things.

These were the basic information about the database exam:
The exam was for only 2hours :( I wish it was longer.
The sql was based on Ordering Pet Products.

There were 6 tables as I remember:

  • Customers
  • Orders
  • Products
  • Invoice_totals
  • Supplied_by
  • Suppliers
Q1. Drawing a ER-Diagram of the Pet Database, saying what type of relationship are each of them.

Q2. What does the 5 different types of Keys mean and give an example of each using the SQL Database:
Surrogate Key
Primary Key
Atomic Key
Composite Key
Foreign Key

Q3. About the database being consistent
Why should the database be consistent and give example why this database isn't.
What does database being correct mean and give example why this database could be not correct
How can it be consistent but not correct?

Q4. 5/6 Questions about why certain queries should not work (2 marks each)

Q5. Creating certain queries of certain condition asked

Q6. Create a certain table of certain criteria(2 marks), why might this break integrity(3 marks), and how could you use a sql of this and why is this better than creating a table.

For Q2 about the different keys, can someone tell me what is an ATOMIC KEY? As I don't even know what that is, and tried searching through a search engine but nothing. The closest thing I saw was Atomic Value, but the exam paper said Atomic KEY?!? grr

1 down, 2 to go.

07:07
Wish me luck during the exam as I totally need it!!! Talk about the exam soon after the exam lol!

Wish Me Luck!

Wish me luck during the exam as I totally need it!!! Talk about the exam soon after the exam lol!

Panick Mode!!!

Tuesday 14 August 2007

Ah, what should I do about database!!!

I know abit more about integrity, man so hard to explain if there is an integrity broken in a SQL Database. Anyone got any examples, of how a certain integrity is broken in a SQL Database? I searched all over the internet, and nothing about it, except on wikipedia (woot woot! Go wiki!).

ER-Diagrams - anyone got an example of an ER-digram which is drawn from a case study? I tried doing it, but failed badly D: Anyone got any tips on how to draw it D: Tell me!!!

Total failure, help!

Missing you loads!!!!

Man, all I got another 13days before they come back. I am so missing them, my mum made me some of my favourite bun, "Mantou Bao" before she went on her holiday. I almost finished it too D: just got one left of my favourite buns...

Tomorrow I got my first exam of the three, help!!! I am doing my revision now but don't think it would be enough D: The worst thing is that "I can't be arsed to do any revision!!! ARGH!!!".

1 day before my exams start, eep!

Missing you loads!!!

Monday 13 August 2007

Man, I'm missing my parents already :'( They just left England now on the plane to China for 2weeks, I wonder how I am going to survive for the next 2weeks without them :(

But it's a good experience that they have gone on holiday since this would help me know how much I do actually do care about them. Right now... missing them to bits :'(
So feel like crying, but at least they are coming back soon ;)

Missing you guys loads!!!

It's Gone Bad Already

Oh, you flipping won't believe it! But I had like the worst day even though my parents just left the county we are living in, a couple of hours ago.Like I had to go to my parents shop to check something, so I went with that aunt/uncle(who's going to make us food on friday).

When we arrived there, oh ****ing 'ell! What the **** did the evil boys do! They split all the dirty oil in the tub onto the floor! Since my parents own a takeaway, there are usually dirty oil after the day; which is always taken away certain day by the collector of oil company. But this smelt like vomit, so sour smell to it and me, aunt&uncle had to clear away the smell by using a 'ell of alot of hot water, with bleach, soda crystals and washing-up liquid. I hardly did anything, but just carried water to them after filling up the bucket, whilst they did the hard part of cleaning it up.

Why are the evil kids always doing this, they have nothing better to do but stir up trouble! I hope the kids have the same problems and worst when they grow up! They look like my age too! 20 and still doing this, GROW UP!!!

(I wouldn't usually use the word "evil" but I would always use it in cantonese "suei"). So flipping annoying me to 'ell! My parents hasn't even left this country yet and trouble already starting at my parents shop! Hope they die in pain!!! (Not literally... but hope they suffer in living their lives, the whole bunch of them who push the dirty oil down!

I wish I could just stick their heads into that tub of dirty oil and so they can smell and taste that crap! That way they would learn their lesson! Too bad, I didn't see who did it, otherwise I would have called the police and thrown the gunk onto them before the police come... (As self defence, the lazy s***s).

Why don't the evil kids get a job!?? If they are that bored, or go to your community center and play on the pool table or something (I know there is a community center, I've seen it).

Oh, I wish my parents were back already and sort out the idiot s***bags!

2nd Honeymoon

Wah, my parents had gone to China for 2weeks starting from today. Therefore that leaves us kids at home alone (not really kids as I am almost 20 and my sister is almost 21 ^_^). I thought this 2weeks would be a chance to grow up and try making our own food. However, my bubble has been popped; as my aunt and aunt&uncle is going to be making us food D: Damn it people, I know my parents has gone to China for a holiday by themselves since non of the other family members are able or not wanting to go, but we have literally been living on our own for over 10years now! (in a way). Why won't they let us try on our own?

2 days left before exam.

Zippo Tricks

Sunday 12 August 2007

Okay, this is not recommended for kids to try at home, as it can turn into a tragic event instead.

I found this video in the early days where I visited college humor as my daily visit. But hardly go on, as I think some of the sites I went on there gave my computer a virus ... so I am just tad unsure about those sites they recommend to go on for fun. But it's funny, funny sites. But I do sometimes still go on there. Anyway, I found this video and boi, everytime I watch this, it makes me laugh my head off espeically when he does slow motion: "It burnnnnnsssssss!!!!!!!!" HAHAHA!!!

Nosebleeder

If you are like a heavy nosebleeder like me; who just gets them out of the blue, have you ever had a nosebleed happen during your sleep? So you are required to wake up and stop the bleeding. Or too lazy (like me) and just sniff up the blood to go through your mouth instead?

As this happened this morning, and you get this blood clot in your mouth and you just have spit it out onto a tissue... or swallow it. Well I spat it all out this time since it was too large ^_^ After falling back asleep and properly waking up .. weird how the blood was stuck onto my lips, and I thought it was just me with redder lips mwahahaa!!! (If only that was true).

The weird thing when I get nosebleeds in the middle of the night is that I have never bleed onto my duvets or pillow. Is that an automatic reaction to do when you get a nosebleed during your sleep, having to wake up?

Tell me your situations that you have with nosebleeds in the morning? I would be so happy to hear if anyone gets nosebleeds occasionally too, so I don't have to feel like the odd ball. As during primary school, use to get them alot and so I was sorta known as the girl who always have a nosebleeds. There was this dude who always had nosebleeds too, but we think it's because he picks his nose alot in class D: Yuck!

Argh!

Friday 10 August 2007

5days before exams start.
Woke up at 8.30 to do more database =S Is database going to haunt me forever? I think so.

Total argument I had with my sister, she really wants to go to this wedding who she doesn't even keep in contact with for a few years now. However, I am revising my backside off, and she wants me to go to work tomorrow. As there are other weddings she can go to, she's just been a wedding less than a year ago and was the bloody bridesmaid! What can compete against that part in the wedding (well apart from being the actual bride ^_^ ).

If I was in her situation, I would at least say congrats to her friend getting married then go to work to allow my sister to revise for her exams to be able to pass and stay at the same university. I might sound like some crap sister who isn't allowing her sister to her old friend's wedding, but she's done this so many times about wanting to go to see friends and making the rest of the family having to go change all our plans for her. It's like my sister's feet when it had some liquid in it like pregnant women does get on their feet. I had to sacrifice my time of revising for her and such.. Okay not good example, as I would do that because it's her health.

Like looking after the kids whilst she wanted to go bowling with her friends, so I had to look after the kids and my aunt had to make her delivery driver take them back home after she came back. When she made a commitment with my aunt about looking after the kids too.

Stress Mode

Thursday 9 August 2007

Totally, totally, totally stressed out from my head!!!

Got so much to do before the exam, and I don't know aught! Database, why do you have to be so complicated! I stayed up until 2am doing database notes, is that called crazy or not? You should see the state of my room, totally tip of papers which has highlighter on it. Also I need to revise my other modules too D:

Less than a week now: 6days left before exams start. 4days left before my parents go on their holiday.

Perfect Day

Monday 6 August 2007

Okay, some people would find this not the perfect day but a boring one. But you don't know my life so there.

So the whole day was basic quiet. My parents were just at home; getting ready for their holiday to China, my brother was in his room, my sister was at FlamingoLand with my relatives and I was in my room revising. It was just perfect, just peaceful with no major tantrums with any of my family members. Just relaxed.

But when I told my sister that, that I thought this was the perfect day ever, she thinks that it's because she's not there. Not always, the case around her, could have been because there's no problem in life today.

Perhaps this is probably the dullest post ever, but don't care.

Overrated Blogs

Saturday 4 August 2007

I don't know about you guys, but like to look at different blogs apart from the ones you read as that's how you start off reading people's blogs anyway. Well, on top of some blogs in blogger there is a navigator which allows you to look at a random "Next Blog". So click on that, and ARGH! My eyes!!! Nasty!!! So click on next blog, ARGH! What is all this?!?

Yea that is what happened, the blogs were about nude pictures of people and advertising sex webcams. Not all sites shows such a sight, but most of them when you click on "Next Blog"s. Ugh! These types of blogs should have their own blogsite, to avoid young kids and people like me not wanting to see such a nasty blogs, also allowing those who wants to see that type of sight can go there instead. That's a website someone should do, they might make alot of money somehow ;P

Happy Birthday young one ;)

Friday 3 August 2007

Happy Birthday to my youngest cousin!!! You are finally 3 Years Old!!! *cough* doubt she would read this blog nor this message but it's good to mention it ^_^ I made her a card for today and it's 3D oooooh.
I would show you the card but I gave the card to her already and forgot to save a picture of it.

I'm so flipping annoyed with the whole "New" A-levels, what would people think about people who was in the old system where A* wasn't able to be achieved?!? Instead of bring A* into the grade system, why don't they just bring a lower grade boundary, "F" instead. So this gives a chance for pass students getting equal opportunity with jobs, without feeling crap about just getting only an A! I wonder how much these grades are worth on the points for university, 140points? They should be the same points as A grades! Or they could introduce a new type of level instead, like in the pass it was O-levels then A-levels then it should be something like (another letter)-levels.

For some who doesn't know the A-levels points system for university, it goes like this:
A-level:

grade --- points
A ----- 120
B ----- 100
C ------ 80
D ------ 60
E ------ 40

AS-level is half the each grade (e.g. A grade = 60points).

It's like the GCSE English literature, my year was the last year to be allowed to use our own Anthology book with notes. After our year, no students were allowed to use their own Anthology book; that must have been a bum for the students below us :S

Minnesota bridge collapse

Thursday 2 August 2007

Minnesota bridge collapse
It was like 1AM-ish this morning when I heard about the tragic situation that occurred in Mississippi, I was so shocked that I didn't believe it. Since it was like broken into pieces; looked like someone had cut it into strips with a big knife from the images that I saw on TV. May all the people injured get better soon and RIP for losts on that bridge.

--------------

Today, dinner time decided to try something different, French Toast. Since I was watching someone on BBC1 eating a French Toast and I have never tried it before in my whole 19years... also 20 years, as my friend keeps reminding me.

I tried French Toast with just bread and eggs with no extra ingredients as I didn't know that some people would thinning the egg mix.

If someone wants to eat that, I would only recommend eating one/two French Toast and no more. It made me feel quite sick after my third bread.

I'm surprised what it taste like, it tasted like Prawn Toast that you would usually buy in Chinese Takeaway. So if there are vegetarian who eat eggs and wonders what Prawn Toast tastes like, this is a substitution for it... but without eating meat ^_^" But of course the taste is slightly different but it similar taste bud. I even asked my sister about what she thought it tasted like and she said "Prawn Toast" too.

Resits!

Wednesday 1 August 2007

I just found out that my exams are like all together, with day after the other D: (15/16/17th of August). I better get my head down with revision as I want to stay at the same university as it's cheaper for me to stay home.

Weird thing I found out at university today is that most of the people I have met at university (but not all), have failed similar exams in the computing side of the course. Does this mean that the exams are too hard or that we are all dumb?

---------------

I just finished a book that I was reading and boi, it's so good!!! It's called "Shopaholic & Sister", but I don't think they were as good as the other 3 books of the series. The book series is called "Shopaholic" by Sophie Kinsella. I just realised by looking at the offical site of Kinsella that there's a fifth book called "Shopaholic & Baby"!!! ARGH!!! I must get that book! ... after the exams that is 0:)
